Tessera SL is a two-person translation and editing company consisting of translators Mike and Clare Wilkinson. We work for both translation agencies and direct clients. The end clients include many household names and large multinationals. The Tessera Team
Mike Wilkinson

Mike’s background is in chemistry and biochemistry, and he also has many years’ experience in the IT world and as a consultant. Outside of work, Mike plays piano, keyboards and bass and has been a variety of blues and rock bands. Resided in the Netherlands from 1989 to 2023 and in Spain since then. He published the novel YLO under the pseudonym Nicholas Clare in 2018 and recently launched the website Dunglish, a useful resource for native Dutch speakers who write in English.

Clare Wilkinson

Clare has Master’s degrees in economics, statistics and history to back up her work experience in consultancy and consumer research. In 2020 she also got her history PhD from the University of Leiden (Netherlands), with her work “Drama in the Dailies. Violence and Gender in Dutch Newspapers, 1880-1930.”
Clare is also a keen amateur artist.
